According to reports, Mace revealed in a recent interview that she was sexually assaulted by a fellow student while attending The Citadel, a military college in Charleston, South Carolina. The alleged incident occurred over two decades ago, and Mace has stated that she did not report it to authorities at the time due to fear and shame.

"SLED is committed to investigating all allegations of sexual abuse, regardless of when they occurred," said a spokesperson for the agency. "We understand the courage it takes for victims to come forward, and we will do everything in our power to ensure that justice is served."


Support for Rep. Mace
